This spiced mix of apples and calvados (French apple brandy) goes perfectly with thunder and lightening ice cream.

 

Recipe for hot apples stewed in calvados

 

serves four with ice cream

 

  • 2 cooking apples
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp Calvados (or brandy)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

 

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples
  2. Heat gently in the rest of the ingredients
